During this campaign participants found out how to make nowadays Christmas in more ecological way. Event main topics was two issues that are “created” by Christmas: food and festive supermarkets/malls. The main ideas that were shared was that nowadays, many of us relate Christmas to gifts, so malls are full of people, “Christmas-friendly” deals, that’s why participants shared their experiences about promotions and Christmas lights at supermarkets and malls, that consumerism is higher in that time, although it should be vice versa: calm period, spending time people not for searching gifts. Secondly, also important thing that was shared during eco-campaign is big amounts of food, which is often thrown away, so there was discussion how to make food amounts smaller and how to save energy while cooking.
