The “Ecology Quiz” was organized on 20th of March, especially for the International Earth Day. Five student teams participated in this ecology event. During the “Ecology Quiz” pupils not only did compete with each other but also had the opportunity to test their both biology and ecology knowledge. The test consisted of two stages - 30 questions with four answer options and 15 yes/no questions. “Ecology Quiz” has covered a wide range of topics: garbage sorting, benefits of renewable electricity, climate change, environmental protection, ecosystems, pollution, carbon footprint, and other eco-related topics. The goal of this initiative was not only to test the participating teams and their logical thinking but also to introduce them to the major current environmental issues. While checking the answers students were actively discussing quiz questions and even suggested their own answers and insights on relevant topics. At the end of the initiative, the results were announced and three best teams were awarded.
