For more than one month Knowledge Code has been promoting an Engish essay contest “EcoWrite”. Advertisement of the contest “EcoWrite” started from multiplier event when booklets were handed to the participating students and teachers. In addition, an event was created on Facebook to reach those who are using social media. Students from all the country were invited to participate and write an ecology essay. The aim of the competition was to promote environmental protection and increase public concern about the main ecology issues. The author could choose the essay topic but it had to be related to ecology. Knowledge Code has received many interesting and wonderful essays not only from the capital but also from smaller cities and even Lithuanian regions. For example, ecology essays were written by students from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in Kaunas, Visaginas Technology and Business Vocational Education and Training Centre, Exclusive Wood Group and other organizations. In the end, three most original and informative essays were chosen as the winners. The authors were awarded and their essays were published on http://eurappeal.eu.
