Reducing the environmental impact of the UWC National Committee of Uruguay
The interventions to reduce the environmental impact of the organisation during its pre-selection and selections processes focused on the following activities:
• Avoided the use of disposable plastic bottles.
• Made a meal from a different world region with candidates for homeless people. Recycled paper, containers and plastic.
• Offered only vegetarian options in the catering.
• Carried out sustainability-oriented information activities.
• Managed food waste (compost, etc.).
